DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL SURGICAL/TELEMETRY
1. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS Experience/Specialized Skills:
Broad nursing management experience required. Excellent communication, problem-solving and planning skills. Ability to work well as part of a leadership team. Ability to work with all levels of the organization effectively to achieve outcomes, direct others and negotiate for desired results. Knowledge and skill in professional nursing theory and practice, including physiological principles involved in the care of acute care patients, principles of teaching and learning, evidenced based medicine and quality assurance.
2. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years clinical nursing leadership experience in nursing care services in an acute care hospital setting within the past ten years. Must have recent experience in a MedSurg/Tele unit
3. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION Bachelors degree required Masters degree preferred
4. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of California Current basic life support (BLS) certification Current Advance Life support (ACLS) preferred

Base Salary - $100,000 to $145,000
