Accounting Manager

Summary: We are seeking a smart, dedicated professional Accounting Manager who desires upward mobility. The ideal professional will have the combination of Payroll and Corporate Tax Accounting and General Accounting. At least 3 - 5 years of experience. Experience managing an accounting department for multi-corporation businesses, as well as statement prep, and can handle the heavy load of monthly and quarterly financial reporting for multiple companies. This position will manage the company's monthly financial statement preparation, general ledger, and accounts reconciliation; provide analytical support relating to financial statement and ledger accounts; and manage internal control documentation and audit preparation.
Job Expectations:
Coordinate, general ledger maintenance and closing activities for multiple companies.
Budget preparation and comparative reporting of actual to budget; variance analysis and reporting to Management as part of standard monthly reports
Setup Prepaid Insurance(s) and monthly amortization schedules
Handle all journal entries and month end close requirements for several operating companies.
Reconcile customer invoicing for revenue recognition purposes
Responsible for G/L account balances; account reconciliation accuracy and completeness
Compile monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Statements for several operating entities.
Perform account analysis, compile operating statistics, report financial highlights
Supervise, approve, reconcile payroll federal and state tax returns and deposits for multiple companies
Audit preparation and support documentation as needed for external and regulatory audits and outside counsel
Assist in coordination and preparation of annual budget
Supervise accounting staff hiring, training, coaching, appraising
Prepare special projects as assigned by Management
Develop, manage system for real-time customer credit, liquidity analysis
Monitor customer performance, account profitability and ensure gross margins are accurately reported and collected as billed

Advanced Excel skills; overall Microsoft knowledge

Experience Requirements:

Managerial experience
Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree, Accounting Major or 5
Yrs. confirmable growth experience with 5 years supervision of accounting staff
