ABOUT THE POSITION The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping lead the project team in the successful completion of the projects assigned.
Projects should be completed within budget, protecting profit margin, in accordance with client schedule requirements while building long-lasting relationships and protecting the best interest of all parties involved.
The right candidate must be familiar with building and executing grading and wet utility work.
KEY DUTIES Use their experience to read plans, understand construction trades, support projects to be built, and be involved in the bid process.
Process RFI's, submittals, estimating (quantity takeoffs and pricing), change orders, and build relationships within the entire project team.
Provide complex problem-solving skills to resolve design, construction, and budgetary related issues.
Compose and type correspondence to include letters, memos, forms, minutes, proposals, etc.
Exercise independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload.
Receive and distribute project correspondence, drawings, and other project records and documents.
Maintain project files.
Help Develop & maintain logs for RFI's (request for information), submittals, submission requests, contracts & change proposals.
Lead project team in correct project planning steps.
Have knowledge of project progress throughout the project.
Receive, administrate, document, and communicate project changes throughout the project.
Scope of work included (from super plan) Strategically protect the best interests of all parties involved with the project.
Build long-lasting relationships with clients, internal project team, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
KEY COMPETENCIES Working knowledge of project life cycle.
Ability to stay well organized.
Ability to execute duties within existing SOP structure.
Positive client interaction.
Intermediate level understanding of Procore, Bid Mail, Smart Bid, Smartsheet (or similar scheduling software).
Advanced level of Microsoft Office Products and Bluebeam Revu.
Trinity also utilizes project estimating and tracking software, B2W/Track.
JOB REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 2 years relevant experience with grading and/or underground utilities.
