HIM Medical Records Tech
Job Description:
SUMMARY
The Health Information Management (HIM)/Medical Records Specialist/Tech collaborates with staff across the Region to ensure patient medical information is available in the eMR in a timely manner and is accurately indexed and maintained as part of the legal medical record in accordance with healthcare policies and procedures, and Federal and State Regulations.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/
Experience:
High School Graduate or equivilent required.
Associate s degree from an accredited College or University in Medical Records Science preferred.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology required.
One (1) to Two (2) years of experience in Medical Records required, acute care experience preferred.
Prior knowledge of State and Federal release of information laws preferred
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Must have valid California Driver s License and reliable transportation.
Unit: 145-49280 - HIMEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
